XenaCare Holdings Inc. has an innovative new product called the SunPillŽ which has been accepted by three major retailers for a summer launch. Starting with Walgreen’s, the SunPillŽ will be featured in the sun care aisle of all their 6,500 stores nationwide. Rite-Aide, with a little over 5,000 stores, will feature the SunPill in a special end-cap display that will maintain prominent positioning for the next 14-months; 7-11 will also carry the SunPillŽ product in a special 6-pack blister display especially designed for the convenience store market in their approximately 7,000 stores nationwide.

The SunPillŽ is a dietary supplement designed to support the body’s natural defenses in neutralizing and counteracting the damaging effects of harmful free radicals formed on the skin by sun rays. Other features beneficial to consumers who use SunPillŽ are its unique ability to help support and promote beautiful and healthy skin, while providing a boost to the body’s essential vitamin D levels. Positive feedback has been coming in from families that have had the opportunity to use SunPillŽ on vacation or day trips to the beach.

Virtually all sun care category managers at major retailers that the company has contacted are very enthusiastic about the SunPillŽ. One major retail buyer who came up through the ranks as a pharmacist stated, “The beauty of the SunPillŽ is that it relies on the fact that it doesn’t cannibalize the section. This is a whole new way of addressing over exposure to the sun without taking away our topical sun care sales.”
With a special commitment to consumer education, XenaCare has developed a 60-second direct response TV commercial along with a 30-second commercial that is being tagged with various retailers’ names.

XenaCare’s exclusive world-wide marketing agreement has already received the attention of various marketers from countries like China, South America, South Africa and the Caribbean.

This summer millions of consumers will be able to buy SunPillŽ and help protect their skin from the sun’s harmful effects in the form of a pill,” says Frank Rizzo, XenaCare’s President. “This can be the start of a revolution in the $2.2 billion domestic sun-care industry, now dominated by salves and lotions.” SunPillŽ is not a replacement for topical sunscreens. The SunPillŽ is a dietary supplement that contains scientifically researched ingredients in a proprietary combination with powerful antioxidant properties that may help the body’s own natural defense when it comes to exposure to the sun. “XenaCare is a company with big ideas,” said Rizzo. “We expect to increase our marketing reach to include the approximate $5 billion world wide market for sun protection products. The original SunPillŽ was specifically reformulated to help defend the body’s skin from the negative effects of the sun.”

The SunPillŽ, as it is simply called, was first introduced by founder Robert Bell (Banana Boat) through his Pure Laboratories LLC. On April 23, 2008 XenaCare purchased the total proprietary rights to the SunPillŽ, XenaCare is chaired by Dr. Alan Xenakis, MD, ScD, MPH, MS.
